Family and inheritance cases
Broadly defined family issues raise many legal problems. Frequently, family disputes involve substantial financial implications, thus, they cannot be marginalized.
Legal disputes between family members are almost always very emotional. It is worth emphasizing that emotions are often considered irrational occurrences that may distort reasoning and decision-making, especially in inheritance cases. Often, the entire family is involved in the dispute. A lot of pressure is put on the parties of the conflict, which causes unjustified concessions of one party and unreasonable deepening of the conflict that could in turn generate unnecessary additional costs.
Handing the case over to the law firm gives us some comfort. Our financial interests are adequately protected, we are less committed to the case, and we avoid some of the emotional costs of litigation. Apart from that, families tend to have communication problems – they do not want to or they do not know how to talk to each other – and only the lawyers – people looking at the conflict from a different perspective are able to determine the crux of the dispute, establish a rapport and find a compromise.
